The politics and history of ww2 part 3

 Hello bloggers this is part 3 of the politics and history of ww2 This time me and Benji are covering the Nordic invasions of Denmark and Norway. Im using a different mike now so i should sound A bit less Glitchy.

  1. Kia ora Hiero, another super interesting foray into World War 2. I can tell you are really interested in this subject! Your sound was definitely less glitchy this time : ) I think the map you showed was very helpful as you discussed the history of the Nordic invasions.
    I understand Germany didn't invade Sweden because they were one of the few countries that remained "neutral" during WW2. Germany was dependent on Sweden for the supply of Iron ore and they also allowed Germany to transport soldiers and weapons on their railways.
    I watched an incredible film about Norwegian freedom fighters and the hardships they had to endure during the war. The film was called the 12th Man and it follows Jan Baalsrud, as he manages to escape capture swimming across a fjord, in sub-zero temperatures. It is based on true events and was very harrowing but also incredible viewing.
